QUALIFICATIONS

The Troop Fund Raising Chairperson must meet BSA membership requirements, be at least 21 years of age, and register with the Boy Scouts of America as an adult leader.

The Troop Fund Raising Chairperson is selected by the troop committee, with the approval of the charter organization.

Complete troop committee Fast Start Training, Youth Protection Training, New Leader Essentials and Troop Committee Challenge.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with the troop committee on public relations for fund raising.
  • Lead in all troop fundraising activities.
  • Complete the proper forms and submit them to the council in a timely fashion for approval.
  • Explore ways in which the troop can raise funds.
  • Maintain a listing of local Troops and their fundraising activities.
  • Report to the troop committee at each meeting.
