QUALIFICATIONS

The Troop Community Services Coordinator must meet BSA membership requirements, be at least 21 years of age, and register with the Boy Scouts of America as an adult leader.

The Troop Community Services Coordinator is selected by the troop committee, with the approval of the charter organization.

Complete troop committee Fast Start Training, Youth Protection Training, New Leader Essentials and Troop Committee Challenge.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help the Scoutmaster plan and arrange service activities.
  • Help identify new service opportunities.
  • Arrange for safe transportation when needed.
  • Provide leadership and arrange for other adults to help when needed.
  • Be aware of BSA health and safety requirements and see that they are implemented.
  • Plan first aid for emergencies.
  • Help arrange for equipment, as needed.
  • Report to the troop committee at each meeting.
