Notes

  • Fills-in for SPL when needed
  • Usually a past SPL so he can help guide the SPL
  • Assists SPL as needed

  • Gathers all required equipment before each campout based on troop needs
  • Insures that all equipment is clean and properly stored after each use
  • Keeps all troop gear in good operational condition
  • Keeps all equipment needing repairs separate so it is not taken on a campout
  • Repairs any equipment that is damaged after each use
  • Informs SPL and Scoutmaster when equipment needs replaced

  • Takes pictures at all troop activities.
  • Submits all pictures to the Scoutmaster for archive.
  • Works with the committee Publicity Chairman to
    • Publish news articles
    • Submit "In The News" awards
    • Collect Flag Streamers from publicity awards
  • Updates the Troop History board with current articles and pictures.
  • Responsible for keeping the troop online calendar current.
  • Provides links in troop calendar for easier access to information.
  • Takes notes at all troop activities.
  • Works with the SPL and Scoutmaster to
    • Keep the troop Advancement Chart current
    • Keep the troop Conservation Tracking Chart current.
  • In case of illness of a troop member organizes "Get Well" cards.
  • Works with the committee Chaplain to organize Religious studies.
  • Works with the committee Chaplain to organize religious awards classes.
