Hornaday Category Description
Fish & Wildlife Management Develop a new interpretive loop trail. Category would depend on the emphasis of the interpretive trail. Promote and give guided nature tours of the trail. Depending on the length and difficulty of the trail this may constitute two projects: trail development (Eagle) and development of interpretive signage, guide and tours (Hornaday).

Forest & Range Management Install native trees and plants by nature building, parking lot and pond. Give presentations on the value of native plants and why those were selected.

Invasive Species Invasive Species removal (Tallow, Deep-Rooted Sedge, Japanese Climbing Fern, Cattails from Pond)
Eagle only - not Hornaday:
  1. New gateway entrance and trail.
  2. Design & install sprinkler system at nature building.
  3. Rework sidewalk at nature building.
  4. Improve Spring Creek and Panther Branch access from trails.
  5. Improve overlooks to Spring Creek and Panther Branch (May be expandable to a Hornaday if significant erosion control is involved).
  6. New Road by-pass trail.
  7. Maintenance on existing nature building/outdoor classroom.
  8. New Preserve outdoor classroom.
  9. Benches along trails in preserve
Other:
  1. TBD: Promote and host a Nature Day at the Preserve.
