What:

The City of Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Department and Keep Sugar Land Beautiful need your help to plant over 5,000 seedlings and 200 five-gallon trees.

200 Volunteers are needed to help plant the trees at the Sugar Land Memorial Park. Fluor is helping to make this happen and is bringing over 50 volunteers!

Date: February 24, 2007
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Please plan to arrive at 8:30 a.m. or earlier to park.
Location: Sugar Land Memorial Park (directions)
Intersection of University and Commonwealth Blvd. south of 59
Parking: Please park at the University of Houston Sugar Land Campus at the lot farthest from US 59. A shuttle bus will be running to and from the site from 8:00 a.m. There will be no parking available on-site.
What to Bring: Shovels and gloves
Wear work clothes you won’t mind getting dirty
Sunscreen and bug spray
NOTE:

WE PLANT RAIN OR SHINE!

Volunteers please report to the park by 8:30 a.m.
You will be assigned to teams and be escorted to your planting site for training.

Breakfast and refreshments will be provided.
